Morocco's coach Hervé Renard will be considering his future with the Atlas Lions after this summer's African Cup of Nations in Egypt, the he told Moroccan website le360 on Monday. The Moroccan Football Association recently fired its technical director Nasser Larguet, and then held a meeting with Renard's assistants Mustapha Hadji and Patrice Beaumelle to discuss the identity of Larguet's successor. Renard's absence from this meeting raised doubts about the future of the French tactician. "I only knew about this meeting from my assistants after it ended," Renard told le360. "It is a big sign for me that I wasn't invited to such an important meeting, which discussed the future of Moroccan football. "This will push me to think a lot about my future after the African Cup," added the 50-year-old coach, whose current contract with the Moroccan team runs until 2022. Morocco were drawn in Group D at the African Cup finals alongside Cote d'Ivoire, Namibia and South Africa. They will kick off their campaign by facing Namibia on 23 June. French daily L'Équipe also suggested on Tuesday that Renard could be departing his job after the African Cup, referring to an interest from the football association to sign Lyon coach Bruno Genesio. "Besides being a professional coach, my full concentration now is on the African Cup," Renard concluded.
