Moroccan heavyweights Raja Casablanca secured their place in the African Confederation Cup group stage after beating African Stars of Namibia 1-0 on Sunday. After being held to a scoreless draw in Windhoek last week, defender Badr Banoun scored the winning goal in the 57th minute in a very tight tie. "It was a difficult game and the Namibians created some threats during the game but we were organized and accomplished our target and qualified for the group stage," Banoun said after the game. "We are struggling with a very busy calendar but we have a good squad that will help us compete on all fronts,” he added. Earlier in the day, Nigeria's Enugu Rangers defeated Bantu FC of Lesotho 2-1 to secure their passage with a 4-2 aggregate win. The group stage draw will be held on Monday.
