Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met Chinese Vice-President Wang Qishan at Cairo airport on Friday, according to a statement from the Egyptian cabinet. Wang arrived for an official visit to Cairo to discuss cooperation between Egypt and China in various fields. The Chinese vice-president and his accompanying delegation will hold wide-ranging talks with Egyptian officials to discuss bilateral cooperation, exchange views and plan further coordination on regional and international issues of common concern. Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi visited Beijing in September and signed five agreements with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping concerning the manufacture of an Egyptian satellite, as well as a framework agreement for future projects in the coming three years. El-Sisi also witnessed during his visit the signing of a number of contracts with Chinese companies to implement development projects in Egypt with an investment worth of $18.3 billion.
