Prominent Egyptian actor Gamil Rateb has died at the age of 92, the head of Egypt's actors' union Ashraf Zaky said on Wednesday. Rateb, an icon of Egyptian cinema and drama, appeared in dozens of films and TV shows over the course of his career including the 1962 Oscar-winning historical drama film “Lawrence of Arabia,” opposite Peter O'Toole. Reteb's funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at Cairo's Al-Azhar mosque.
