Egypt and West Bromwich defender Ahmed Hegazi sent on Tuesday a message of support to his Pharaohs' teammate Mohamed Salah during his ongoing dispute with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) saying he hopes the issue is solved for the sake of the team. "Salah is the most important player in the Egyptian national team, everybody loves him. I hope that these minor problems and misunderstanding be solved so that everybody can focus on the best interest of the national team in the upcoming period,” the 27-year old defender tweeted on Tuesday after posting a picture of him with Salah. Hegazi, who partnered Salah in Egypt's U20 team in 2011, is the first player who shows public support for Salah following a heated argument between the Liverpool winger and his agent and officials from the Egyptian FA. Salah has blamed the Egyptian FA officials of exploiting his image and causing disruptions during the team's World cup camp. He said he doesn't only speak for himself as several player felt unease and discomfort lately. Hegazi and Salah have been called up for the Pharaohs game against Niger in the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers on 8 September.
