Nadine Labaki's Capharnaum first Arab film announced at Toronto festival lineup

Lebanese film Capharnaum by award winning director Nadine Labaki is the only Arab film so far announced in the lineup of the annual Toronto Film festival, which opens on 6 September.
In it's North American premiere, the film will be screened in the Special Presentations segment; international films with major stars and/or directors.
The film, which is politically-charged fable with mostly non-professional actors, is about a child who files a lawsuit against his parents for bringing him to life.
Capharnaum won the Jury Prize at Cannes, making Labaki the first Arab filmmaker in 12 years to win in the official Cannes competition.
Labaki has previously won TIFF's People's Choice Award in 2011 with her film Where Do We Go Now?
The festival will open with First Man, directed by Damien Chazelle.
The full lineup is yet to be revealed, but so far includes 17 highly anticipated titles.
