A teenager committed suicide on Sunday by throwing himself in front of an oncoming underground train in Cairo, according to the metro operation company. The 17-year-old boy died instantly at El-Marg Station in northeast Cairo, the company said in a statement. Train movement was briefly delayed as the body was removed from the rails. This is the latest in a series of suicides at the underground metro in recent months. In May, a young man, who investigations showed was suffering from psychological problems, killed himself by jumping in front of a moving train at the northeastern Ghamra metro station. A young woman did the same in early June at the Mar Girgis Station in Old Cairo. Investigations at the time revealed that she was having problems with her family.
