The Cairo Opera House starts it's summer festival programme today, including the Citadel Music Festival, echoing in the Alexandria and Damanhour operas as well, running through July and August. Of the 58 performances, between music and singing, and inshad, 10 will be at the Opera's Open Air Theatre between 4 and 19 July. Four concerts will be at Damanhour Opera House, and 14 at the Sayed Darwish and Roman theatres in Alexandria between 18 and 30 July. The 27th edition of the Caitadel Music and Singing Festival will offer 30 concerts for free, featuring some of the top contemporary Egyptian and Arab singers, and runs between 2 and 17 August. Performers incude Ali El-Haggar, Iman El-Bahr Darwish, Mostafa Amar, Riham Abdelhakim, Ghalia Benali, Ahmed Gamal, Caremen Soliman, Mohamed Rashad, Nesma Mahgoub, and Sabrine El-Negily, among others.
