Fathallah and Abdel-Shafy bounce back in Zamalek squad After recovering from injuries Mahmoud Fathallah and Mohamed Abdel-Shafy have been included in Zamalek squad for Masry game
Coach Hassan Shehata received a huge boost as he got back international defender Mahmoud Fathallah and left wing-back Mohamed Abdel-Shafy to boost his shaky backline ahead of Masry's game on Friday. The duo was on the sidelines since the league resumption with muscle injuries that prevented them from playing against Arab Contractors and Bani Suef Telephones. They were reportedly angry for not receiving their installments and decided to boycott the games but the allegations have been totally denied by the technical staff. Fathallah and Abdel-Shafy have been included in the 20-man list for the camp ahead of the game that should be trimmed to only 18 on Friday. Young defender Ahmed Abdel-Kader made it to the squad for the second time in a row after being included in the senior squad for the first time against Bani Suef Telephones last Monday. Egypt U-20 talented forward Mohamed Ibrahim has also been included in the squad for the first time since recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him on the sidelines for six weeks. The squad: Goalkeepers: Abdel-Wahed El-Sayed and Mahmoud Abdel-Rehim Defenders: Mahmoud Fathallah, Hani Saied, Salah Soliman, Mohamed Abdel-Shafy, Omar Gaber, Sabry Rahil and Ahmed Abdel-Kader. Midfielders: Ahmed Tawfik, Ahmed Merghany, Ibrahim Salah, Ahmed Hassan, Saied Mohamed and Mahmoud Abdel-Razek “Shikabala” Strikers: Ahmed Hossam “Mido”, Ahmed Gaafar, Hussein Hamdy, Mohamed Ibrahim and Razak Otomoyossi.
