Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi to undergo medical check-up at Huddersfield: EFA
Published in Ahram Online on 02 - 06 - 2018

Stoke City's Egyptian winger Ramadan Sobhi is set to undergo a check-up at Huddersfield Town on Saturday ahead of a possible move to the English Premier League club this summer, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced.
“The national team technical staff agreed to let Sobhi undergo a medical check-up with Huddersfield today,” reads a statement by the EFA on its official Facebook page.
“Sobhi will re-join the national team at their current preparatory camp for the World Cup later on Saturday,” the statement added.
The 21-year-old's future with Stoke City is uncertain following the club's recent relegation from the top flight league in England, after ending the season second from the bottom of the Premier League.
The Egyptian international, who joined Stoke from Cairo giants Ahly on a four-year contract in the summer of 2016, has played a bit-part role this season, despite penning a one-year extension to his four-year contract with Stoke last October.
Sobhi has made 27 appearances with Stoke in all competitions so far this season, scoring three goals, including two in the Premier League.
He is also a regular member of the Egypt national squad, who are currently preparing for the World Cup in Russia next month. He appeared in Friday's 0-0 draw against Colombia in the Italian city of Bergamo.
In March, Sobhi's agent cast doubts over the winger's future at Stoke after revealing that his client had already received offers from four Premier League clubs to leave in the summer. The agent also denied that the player was in talks at the time to re-join boyhood club Ahly.
Huddersfield ended the Premier League season in 16th place with 37 points, 63 behind champions Manchester City.
