Egypt defender Hegazi scores for West Brom in EPL home defeat to Southampton

Egypt center-back Ahmed Hegazi has scored a goal but could not help West Bromwich beat Southampton, slumping to a 3-2 English Premier League defeat at The Hawthorns Stadium on Sunday.
Hegazi headed his side in front in superb fashion in less than four minutes after kick-off before Mario Lemina and Jack Stephens ensured the visitors went into the dressing rooms taking the lead.
Things went worse for Hegazi's West Brom, who have also signed another Egypt defender in Ali Gabr in the winter-break, 10 minutes after half-time when James Ward-Prowse made it three for Southampton.
Venezuela striker Jose Salomon Rondon reduced the arrears on the 72nd minute, but the hosts could not find the equalizer to succumb to their third straight league defeat.
It is the second goal for Hegazi who joined West Brom coming from Ahly last season. The 27-year-old's first goal came in the opening league game against Bournemouth back in August.
West Brom are currently bottom of the Premier League table with 20 points, as they head to defending champions Chelsea next week.
