Rainfall is expected in several parts of Egypt on Monday as cold weather continues for the third day this week, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority. Rain is expected in the capital Cairo as well as some Nile Delta governorates and Sinai. Temperatures in Cairo, the Delta, and Alexandria are expected to drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius, hitting highs of 18 and lows of 11. Even colder weather is expected in the southern governorates of Luxor and Aswan, with highs of 12 and lows of 11. The Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh, a popular winter destination, will see warmer weather, with highs of 20 and lows 16. High waves and heavy winds will cause turbulent navigation in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
