A builder was killed and six other people injured when the ceiling of an under-construction mosque collapsed south of Cairo, Egypt's state news agency MENA reported on Tuesday. The accident took place in Ebshway town in the governorate of Fayoum, some 60km south of Cairo. Building collapses are not uncommon in Egypt and are usually attributed to violations of regulations, illegal extensions, and lax government oversight. Last week, two people were killed and four others injured when two buildings collapsed in the Cairo's district of Rod El-Farag.
