Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi discussed in a phone call with Jordan's King Abdullah II on Tuesday boosting cooperation between the two countries, El-Sisi's office said in a statement. The presidency said that the two leaders affirmed the depth of the strategic and historical relations between the two countries and their keenness to push forward cooperation on all levels. They also discussed a number of regional issues as well as recent developments in the reconciliation between Palestinian factions. Abdullah said that he backs Egypt's efforts to end the rift between Palestinian movements Fatah and Hamas, who reached a reconciliation deal under Cairo's sponsorship last week.
