The Dutch media highlighted on Monday the Egyptian hitman Ahmed “Mido” Hossam's confirmation to his homeland's media that he will remain with Dutch giants Ajax Amesterdam until the end of the current season. “I won't leave in January. I will stay at Ajax until the summer to repay,” the experienced international footballer told a local TV program on Sunday. It was reported that Egyptian Ahly officials are negotiating for the player, but Mido has denied these reports. Mido confirmed he would only play for his former club Zamalek if he returns to the Egyptian league. “All the news about Ahly negotiations are false. I am a big Zamalek fan and I can't play in another club in Egypt,” said Mido. The 28-year old man joined his former club Ajax last summer from English Premier League side Middlesbrough, but it was reported that his future is uncertain under new coach Frank de Boer following the departure of his beloved coach Martin Jol. “Only Deportivo, La Coruna and Espanyol contacted me but the financial offers were not good. I have a meeting with the club board on 4 January to discuss my future,” he said. Mido, a former striker for Tottenham and Middlesbrough, has scored three goals for Ajax this season. The player had a bad experience when he decided to return to the Egyptian league as he joined former club Zamalek on a one-season loan deal from Middlesbrough last season. The experience wasn't assuccessful as expected as his performance was disappointing for the fans, so he decided to return to England again after only 6 months.
