The Egyptian national team arrived at Cairo airport early Wednesday morning following their defeat to Brazil in a friendly in Doha on Monday.
In the first match under the guidance of American coach Bob Bradley, the Pharaohs produced an under par performance against a Brazilian side without its main stars.
Valencia striker Jonas scored both of Brazil's two goals after 39 and 59 minutes.
The Egyptian team appeared subdued and disappointed while walking through the terminal before departing quickly.
Egyptian Football Association (EFA) chairman Samir Zaher refused to comment on question marks sparked by allegations made by board member Magdy Abdel-Ghany and three others, insisting all would be revealed at a press conference Thursday.
Abdel-Ghany had described the Brazil match deal as a ‘scandal' on Sunday, claiming there were many wrongdoings by Zaher who runs the association ‘on his own and surprises board members with decisions they discover later via the media'.
The seven-time African Cup of Nations champions are scheduled to meet the Selecao in another friendly in February.
