Portuguese coach Augusto Inacio is set to be officially unveiled as Zamalek's new coach in a press conference on Saturday, the Cairo giants announced on Tuesday. "Inacio will attend a meeting with club president Mortada Mansour and the first-team players on Tuesday. He will be unveiled to media in a press conference at the club headquarters on Saturday," Zamalek said in a statement via its official website. The 62-year old Inacio, who arrived in Cairo late on Monday, will be signing a contract for one and a half years with the Egyptian club, according to board member Ahmed Mortada. Inacio will take charge of Zamalek in the League, Egypt Cup and CAF Champions League tournaments following the resignation of Mohamed Helmi, under whom the club recently delivered a series of unconvincing performances. A former Portugal left-back, Inacio previously worked in Portugal as a coach for various clubs, including Rio Ave, Marítimo, Sporting CP and Moreirense. Zamalek's next league match will be on Wednesday against Sharkeya, with newly appointed assistant coach Mohamed Salah in charge. Zamalek lie third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 40 points, a massive 15 behind leaders Ahly who have played one match more.
