Egypt's Pope Shenouda III has fallen ill with a ‘severe cold' following a meeting with the Cypriot foreign minister and therefore cancelled his weekly sermon scheduled for Wednesday evening.
The Pope had met with the Cypriot delegation, led by the country's foreign minister and ambassador, earlier on Wednesday, during which they offered their condolences for the victims of the Maspero clashes on 9 October that left at least 26, mostly Christians, dead.
