Egyptian meteorologists expect weather conditions to improve on Saturday after two days of heavy rain in some parts of the country which killed at least 15 people and left 40 injured in bad-weather-related accidents. Clearer and calmer skies are expected across the country, with higher temperatures forecast in central and southern Egypt, where rains wreaked havoc on roads and power supply. Most of the deaths and injuries on Thursday and Friday took place in the governorates of Sohag and the Red Sea, and were caused by bad-weather-related accidents. Meanwhile, temperatures in Cairo and other areas will be moderate on Saturday. The capital is expected to see a high of 28 degrees Celsius and a low of 22 C.The Mediterranean city of Alexandria on Egypt's north coast should see a high of 25 C and a low of 21 C. Southern governorates, including Sohag and Assiuit, are likely to see highs of 32 C and lows of between 10 - 16 C. Conditions for navigation in the Mediterranean are expected to be stable, with waves of 1.5 - 2 metres high. The Red Sea, however, is likely to be a bit more turbulent due to higher waves of 2 - 2.5 metres
