Egypt's Ahly deny interest in Algerian striker Bounedjah

Egyptian champions Ahly are not interested in signing Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah who currently plays for Qatari side AlSadd, club president Mahmoud Taher confrimed on Monday.
"We aren't in any talks to sign Bounedjah," Taher told reporters after the club's 3-0 friendly win over second division team Al-Sharkiyah.
Ahly's new coach Hossam El-Badry has recently announced that the club will sign a new foreign striker in the winter transfer window amid the current strikers inaptitude.
Ahlys' strikers have not been in their best form since the start of this season, failing to score a single goal in the clubs' three Egyptian league wins.
Recent reports claimed that Bounedjah is among the candidates to join the Cairo giants in January in a swap deal that sees Ahly's forward Momen Zakaria joining the other side.
"We didn't negotiate to swap Bounedjah with Zakaria," stressed chairman Taher.
"In the end, we will do what the technical staff needs," he said.
The 24-year old Bounedjah joined Al Sadd in 2015 from Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel. He scored three goals in two league appearances with his club this season.
Bounedjah has so far earned four international games with Algeria's national football team.
