Egypt's U-20 striker Taher Mohamed said on Wednesday he is delighted after joining Ligue 2 side Le Havre, adding he is hoping to help his side earn promotion to the the French Ligue 1. The 19-year-old joined Le Havre from Egyptian side Arab Contractors on a season-long loan deal with, an option for the club to make it permanent. Taher will play under the guidance of American boss Bob Bradley, who coached Egypt from 2011 to 2013 and was on the verge of steering the Pharaohs to a place at the 2014 World Cup before they lost 7-3 to Ghana on aggregate in a playoff. "I am so happy to join Le Havre," Taher told the club's official website on Wednesday. "It is a great honor for me to play under a famous coach like Bob Bradley. "Le Havre are a great club. It is the club that witnessed the start of stars such as Paul Pogba, Dimitri Payet and Riyad Mahrez. I will do my best to follow in their footsteps." Midfielder Pogba became the most expensive player in history when he joined Manchester United for $116 million earlier this month. Algerian winger Mahrez guided Leicester City to the English Premier League title last season and West Ham's Dimitri Payet helped France reach Euro 2016 final on home soil.
