Cup champions Ajax Amsterdam may not be able depend on Egyptian striker Ahmed Hossam "Mido" in Thursday's match against AZ Alkmaar, in round three of the Dutch Cup, because he is suffering a flu, the Dutch media revealed.
It will be a hard day for Ajax's new coach Frank de Boer, as his main striker, Moroccan Mounir El Hamdaoui, is also off the field due becausehe is sick too..
The 18-time Cup champions Ajax defeated BV Veendam 3-0 and MVV 5-0 in their last matches in the 2010 Dutch Cup.
Mido, a former striker for Tottenham and Middlesbrough, has scored three goals for Ajax this season, earning the praise of former coach, Martin Jol, who said that he is on the fast track to regain his renowned form.
