Darb 1718 is to screen the German film Good Bye Lenin. The film screens as part of Darb 1718's German film nights, which are being curated by Francesca Rose. Directed by Wolfgang Becker, the film is set in 1989 and follows the story of Alex, whose mother falls into a coma after seeing him participating in an anti-communist rally. She awakens after a long time, and her family must keep her from learning that her beloved nation of East Germany as she knew has disappeared and that communism still reigns.
