Rawabet Theatre to host contemporary dance night Two evenings of performances by young local artists and choreographers will showcase Egypt's post-revolution contemporary dance scene
A “contemporary dance night” at Cairo's Rawabet Theatre this month will showcase selections from different independent contemporary dance performances, all choreographed and performed by Egypt's next generation of artists. The event will feature a diverse array of artists and dance styles, highlighting both the professional and dynamic character of Egypt's post-revolution dance scene. The brainchild of Ezzat Ismail Ezzat, the event will feature choreographies and performances by Mohamed Fouad, Sherin Hegazy, Hossam Abd El-Hameed, Ezzat Ismail Ezzat, Shaymaa Shoukry, Ahmed El-Gandy, Nadine Emile and Emma Benany. The dance night will be held on Wednesday, 12 October and Thursday, 13 October, and will begin at 8:30pm. The Rawabet Theatre 3 Hussein El-Meamar St., Downtown Cairo
