Spot on essential fashion trends for summer 2016
Ahram Online highlights the fashion trends and must- haves for this summer season.
The following are the dominating trends of fashion that will take you through summer in style
The off-shoulder trend
Tops and dresses with off-shoulder cuts are one of the main looks this season, and there are endless ways to style it.
##
##
The new denim on the block
Skinny cut is still in, but the newest trend brings back flare jeans and culottes. Note that frayed denim hems are slowly taking the place of ripped designs.
Jean jackets typically buttoned and with a collar are taking many other shapes this season, some of which are kimono-style or military style.
##
##
##
The comfort of mules
These retro shoes are the footwear for this season, along with low heeled pumps and front buckled shoes.
Mules come in all shades and can be worn with jeans, dresses and skirts.
Short-laced sandals replace last season's gladiator and offer a softer edge.
##
##
##
Slits
Front and side slits are the bold dominance this season. Whether it's a single front slit or multiple ones throughout, they are one of the freshest trends now.
##
##
Camisole
Silk camisoles are an essential this summer. Pair with a jacket for a sophisticated look.
##
White sneakers
They have been everywhere for a while now, and the trend is not going anywhere any time soon. White sneakers can be worn with cropped jeans, skirts or dresses.
##
##
Boho-chic and embroidery
The prairie style is very much in fashion this summer, whether it manifests itself in the form of beaded sandals, maxi folk dresses or bell sleeves.
While the seventies are still in-season, so is the Victorian era, with embroidery adorning many items on the cat walk recently. The Spanish touch made appearances in most fashion designs this spring and summer through stark red color garments and the presence of ruffles and frills.
##
##
##
Floral and striped patterns
Horizontal stripes and floral fresh patterns are still lingering from previous seasons.
##
##
##
The bag
Bucket bags are not new and have been trending for a couple of seasons alongside saddle bags. Nevertheless, the large versions are being replaced now with much smaller sizes, and with accessorized versions like belted bags that have dominated recent Chanel collections.
##
##
Whites
Nothing says summer like fresh white, so refresh your supply of crisp warm-weather options with picks of your choice; you will find abundance this season.
##
##
Delicate lace
Delicate laces are the way to go this season. It looks less bridal gown-like but still classy and elegant for when we don't want to wear prints or plain clothes.
