Zamalek striker Amr Zaki has been ruled out of next Thursday's match against Talae Al-Gaish. He will miss the Egyptian league's week 10 game due to a knee injury. After the Whites' marksman failed to complete a fitness test on Monday, Coach Hossam Hassan and Dr. Mostafa El-Monayeri agreed Zaki should take more time to recover and prepare for next week's clash with Ismaily. Zaki sustained the injury on 15 October, while playing a friendly match against Al-Shams. He consequently missed Zamalek's week 9 victory over Ittihad El-Shorta, and is now set to watch Thursday's match from the stands. The 27-year-old international striker has been struggling with injuries throughout the year, causing him to miss the 2010 African Cup of Nations. In addition, he had failed to make a noticeable impact during his six-month loan to English premier league side Hull City. Suffering from injuries this season as well, Zaki has had to miss several Zamalek and Pharos encounters. Zamalek are currently heading the league table with 17 points, leading with two points ahead of Ittihad El-Shorta and three ahead of Ahly, who still have two games in hand.
