Egypt's Mobinil has appointed Yves Gauthier as its new chief executive, replacing current head, Hassan Kabbani on 15 November, the mobile services firm announced yesterday. Gauthier is currently chief executive at Tunisiana, a major mobile operator in Tunisia that, like Mobinil, is partly owned by France Telecom. The French national previously held executive positions at other France Telecom-Orange Group subsidiaries in a number of countries. Kabbani's mandate expires in September, with current chairmain Alex Shalaby acting as interim chief executive until Gauthier's term begins in November.
