Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien have named Fawzi Benzerti as their newcoach on Thursday following the sacking of Pierre Lechantre last week. The 60-year old coach inked an 18-month deal worth a monthly salary of 30,000dinars (more than $20,000). CS Sfaxien have dismissed Frenchman Lechantre after losing 2-1 at home to FUSRabat in the CAF Confederation Cup final last month. Benzerti has been out of job since being fired by fellow Tunisians Esperance last monthafter the team suffered a humiliating 6-1 aggregate defeat by TP Mazembe in the CAFChampions League final. Local media have linked the experienced Tunisian tactician with the vacantTunisia job after his fellow countryman Bertrand Marchand was shown the door by the Carthage Eagles following a poor run in the 2012 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
