HeeJaz at the French Institute
Young oud player, Mohamed Abozekry, will perform with the band HeeJaz at the French Institute on Monday 12 September

Born in 1991, Mohamed Abozekry is a young Egyptian musician and oud player. Student of Naseer Shamma, Abozekry's talent has been noticed in Egypt and the Middle East. He performs many known pieces and also composes his own works for the instrument.
Currently, Abozekry peforms with the bandHeeJaz consisting of four musicians inspired by their diverse musical paths fusing several musical elements: oriental, jazz, blues, rock, world and gypsy music. The band is comprised of percussion, guitar, double bass and Abozekry on oud.
The concert will take place on Monday 12 September at the French Institute (formerly known as the French Cultural Centre), at 8.30pm
