The No to Military Trials Campaign has released a video of several Egyptian presidential candidates standing against the military trials of civilians. The short clip lasted only two minutes and contained comments from several candidates that are against trying civilians in military courts, including former head of Arab League, Amr Mousa; liberal candidate Ayman Nour; former Muslim Brotherhood member Abdel Moneim Aboul-Fotouh; Judge Hisham El-Bastawisi; Islamist figure Hazem Abou Ismail; Nasserist candidate Hamdin Sabahi and Egypt's first female candidate, Bothaina Kamel. The candidates highlighted the unconstitutionality of trying civilians before military courts and demanded that civilians be tried in civil courts. According to the campaign, about 12000 civilians have stood against military courts in the past seven months.
