Lessons in Revolting at Rawabet Theatre on Friday Lessons in Revolting live performance at Rawabet Theatre sees young Egyptian artists rewriting history
On Friday 19 August the Rawabet Theatre will feature Lessons in Revolting, a performance that brings together artists and activists showing their own rewritten history though images, testimonials, scenes and sounds. Lessons in Revolting is directed by Laila Hassan Soleiman and Ruud Gielens with choreography by Karima Mansour. The performance will through until 23 August 2011. According to the directors the performance not only retells the story at Tahrir Square when the January 25 Revoltion broke out but also responds to what is happening now in Cairo; as they put it, "This revolution is far from over." Lessons in Revolting will start at 9pm Rawabet Theatre, 3 Hussein El Me'amar Street, Downtown, Cairo.
