Statement by 28 political groups condemn military council accusations against 6 April Movement
Political groups aligned to the January 25 Revolution defend the 6 April Movement, and call for peaceful march to SCAF HQ Saturday

Following the statement released by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) accusing 6 April Movement of attempting to create strife between the army and the people, 28 different political groups and parties responded in defence of the youth movement, calling for a peaceful march to SCAF's headquarters Saturday.
The statement released by the political groups said that the undersigned completely refused the accusative tone of the military council statement, condemning what it described as an attempt to create divisions between different political forces.
The statement confirmed that the 6 April Movement is a part of Egypt's political movement and added that the demonstration planned for Saturday is called for by all political groups. The statement also added that the motto of the demonstration will be “peaceful”, a slogan often chanted in the January 25 Revolution to underline the legitimacy of the people's demands.
The undersigned include the National Association for Change (NAC), the Coalition for Egypt, the Revolution Youth Coalition, the National Front for Justice and Democracy, the Free Egyptian Movement, the Popular Committees for the Defence of the Revolution, the Democratic Workers Party, the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, Mosharka Movement (Participation Movement), the People's Alliance Socialist Party, Bedaya Movement (Beginning Movement), El-Waay Movement (Awareness Movement), the Egyptian Current Party, the Progressive Youth Coalition, the Lotus Youth Coalition, the Coordinating Committee for the Awareness Movement Coalition, the No to Military Trials Campaign, the independent ElBaradei for President Campaign, the Justice and Freedom Youth Movement, the Socialist Renewal Current, the Revolution Youth Union, El-Adl Party (Justice Party), the Revolutionary Socialists, the Arbaeen Square Revolutionaries in Suez, the Suez Youth Group, the Democratic Workers Party in Suez, Karama Party in Suez and El-Adl Party in Suez.
