Former British prime minister Tony Blair arrived in the Egyptian capital on Wednesday for talks on regional peacemaking. Blair, the envoy of a Middle East peace quartet, is due to meet later with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed El-Orabi for talks on breaking an impasse in peacemaking between Israel and the Palestinians. His visit is part of a current regional tour. On Monday, Blair attended a Quartet meeting in Washington which consisted of the European Union, Russia, the US and United Nations.
