The Zimbabwe Football Association has been undergoing a probe into admissions by national team players last October of taking bribes to lose matches on tours to Asia. ZIFA chief executive Jonathan Mashingaidze says on Wednesday that FIFA has been encouraged by its internal investigation. Mashingaidze says the FIFA team has deferred its arrival in order to guarantee “a thorough and far-reaching investigation.”
