A Giza criminal court decided today to adjourn the shooting of protesters in Imbaba and Kerdasa's case until 3 September, 2011. The court will hear the testimonies of more eye witnesses, as well as that of forensics specialists in the upcoming court hearing. Thirteen police officers and policemen from Imbaba and Kerdasa's police stations stand accused of killing six protesters and injuring 18 more on 28 January, 2011. Today's court hearing included the testimony of eight prosecution witnesses, all of whom confirmed that the protesters were passing by the Kerdasa police station when they were stopped by the CSF soldiers who fired tear gas grenades, forcing them back before they were attacked by officers using live ammunition. Eye witness Ashraf Saad El Din accused officer Momtaz Abdel Aziz in particular of killing protesters from the police station. At the court today, there were verbal clashes between the families of the martyrs and the security forces and the defense team.
