Egypt's Elneny 'completed most passes' of Europa League this season

Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny has completed the most passes of any Europa League player this season, European governing body UEFA said on Wednesday.
The consistent central midfielder, who is a regular starter for Swiss side Basel, has completed 161 passes so far this term, UEFA said on the official Facebook page of the Europa League.
Last month, Elneny scored a screamer to help Basel come from behind and earn a 2-1 victory away to Italy's Fiorentina in their opening Group I clash of the continent's secondary club competition.
The 23-year-old, who was called up by Egypt for two friendly games against Senegal and Zambia in the United Arab Emirates, has won three Swiss league titles with Basel since joining in January 2013.
