The Ismaily board decided on Friday not to withdraw from the Egyptian Premier League after accepting the apology of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA). After last week's 1-0 defeat against El-Geish, The Ismaily Dervishes threatened not to complete the domestic league because the EFA initially said a foreign referee would be in charge of the game, but in the end was refereed by an Egyptian official, Fahim Omar. The coastal side were more furious especially as their arch rivals', Ahly and Zamalek matches in the same round were refereed by Saudi and Tunisian officials Instead of Egyptians. EFA chairman Samir Zaher admitted that it was a mistake to not inform Ismaily that Fahim Omar would preside over the match and sent an official apology letter to the club on Thursday. Ismaily, the thirdin the league's tablewith 42 points, 7 behind leaders, Zamalek, will host El Masry this coming Tuesday in day 25 of the Egyptian league.
