Cairo Symphony Orchestra to present its rising stars
On Saturday, 18 June, four soloists from the Cairo Symphony Orchestra will perform well known works from the classical music repertoire, marking the 2010-11 season's dénouement

As the classical music season slowly approaches its end, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Nayer Nagui willpresent a concert, highlighting four of its promising soloists:Ahmed Nabil (Violin), Mohamed Refaat (Violin), Mostafa Saied (Clarinet) and Mohamed Gamal (Trombone).
The evening called ‘Rising stars of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra' will give audiences a chance to meet young musicians paving their careers.
Programme of the evening includes:
Johannes Brahms: Academic Festival Overture
Carl Maria von Weber: Concertino for Clarinet and Orchestra, Op 26
Camille Saint-Saëns: Rondo Capriccioso for Violin and Orchestra, Op 28
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov: Concerto for Trombone and Wind Orchestra in B flat major
Pablo de Sarasate: Zigeunerweisen for Violin and Orchestra, Op 20
