Zamalek fans to protest against Egypt FA in Tahrir
Ultras White Knights are heading to Tahrir Square on Friday to protest against the current Football Association board

Zamalek's hardcore fans, Ultras White Knights (UWK), have decided to protest on Friday in Tahrir Square against what they called “rampant corruption” in the current board of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
This is another episode of the UWK's campaign against EFA President Samir Zaher's regime as tens of their members protested last week outside the Association's headquarters, demanding the current Mubarak-appointed board to stand down after they refused to replay Zamalek's match against Maqassa.
The popular Cairo-based club, who lead the league table level on points (49) with arch-rivals and title holders Ahly, accused the EFA board of “oppression” last month, describing their decisions as “a failure to satisfyingly manage” the association.
The Cairo giants, who are competing for their first title since 2004, threatened to pull out of the league after their stunning 1-0 defeat by Maqassa accusing the match referee, Yasser Mahmoud, of bias in his decisions. The EFA suspended the match official until the end of the season but this has not satisfied Zamalek officials who have demanded the match be replayed.
The EFA board is facing a huge wave of objections with Ismaily joining the list of clubs demanding a withdrawal of confidence in the current board while the Egyptian Revolutionary Alliance announced Monday that they will organise a demonstration in coordination with the other coalitions against corruption in the sports culture, starting with the Football Association.
