Four-time winners TP Mazembe reached the African Champions League semi-final with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Morocco's Moghreb Tetouan, joining Sudan's Hilal who qualified after holding Egypt's Smouha to a 1-1 draw in Alexandria on Saturday. In Lubumbashi, Mbwana Samata scored a hat-trick and Rainford Kalaba and Roger Assale were also on target as Mazembe ran riot at home to continue their bid towards a first Champions League title since 2010. In the Mediterranean city of Alexandria in Egypt, modest side Smouha, who are making their debut in Africa's elite club competition, took the lead midway through the first half, thanks to a goal from Amr El-Menoufi. However, Nasr Eldin El Shigail secured a share of spoils with a 73rd-minute goal as Hilal, who never won the competition, booked a last-four berth for the first time since 2011. Mazembe finished on top of the group with 11 points, two ahead of Hilal. Tetouan are third with eight points while Smouha finished at the bottom with four points.
