Smouha slumped to a 2-0 away defeat by Sudanese side Al-Hilal in the Champions League quarters on Sunday. The sole Egyptian representative in the continental competition failed to impress during the game giving the chance to the hosts to acquire the upper hand during most of the 90 minutes of the game. Midfielder Nasr Eldin Omar opened the scoring for Al-Hilal three minutes after the break, while Nazar Hamid added the second ten minutes from time. Following Sunday's loss, Smouha remain second in the group with three points, one point behind leaders Al-Hilal. In the same group, Moroccan side Moghreb Tetouan will host continent heavyweights TP Mazembe on Monday.
