Nigeria were held to a goalless draw at Tanzania in Group G of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers on Saturday, failing to give new coach Sunday Oliseh an opening win. The Super Eagles, winners of the Nations Cup in 2013, failed to build on a victory over Chad in their first group game, thanks to some resolute defending from Tanzania. Winger Ahmed Musa and striker Emmanuel Emenike were included in a starting line-up that comprised of several little-known players in the debut of Oliseh, who took over following the sacking of Stephen Keshi in July. "We were disorganized in the first half but fared better in the second. In the second half we organized ourselves better but lacked that quality supply from midfield to attack. We will get better," Oliseh said after the game, according to Nigeria's national team Twitter account. "We have to continue to build. We barely had two good days of training before this match so I am happy with the 1 point." Nigeria have four points from two games, one ahead of Egypt who will have a chance to go top if they beat Chad (0 points) on the road on Sunday. Tanzania collected their first point in the group after suffering a 3-0 defeat by Egypt in their opening match.
