Genoa reject Inter's 10 million euro bid to sign El-Shaarawy
Inter and AC Milan are keenly eying Genoa midfielder Stephan El-Shaarawy, a rising star of Egyptian-Italian descent, but a move is unlikely, according to his agent

Italian side Genoa have turned down a 10 million euro offer for highly touted midfielder Stephan El-Shaarawy by Serie A giants Inter Milan, according to Il Corriero dello Sport.
“The idea is to bring him back home,” Genoa president Enrico Preziosi was quoted as saying on Genoa's official website.
Born in Savona, Italy to an Italian mother and Egyptian father, El-Shaarawy, who will turn 19 in October, is one of the hottest prospects in Italian football.
He joined Genoa at 16 and played two games before being loaned out to Padova in the summer of 2010, helping them reach the Serie B play-offs, scoring seven goals in 25 matches.
Inter isn't the only team interested in El-Shaarawy, Serie A champions AC Milan and Napoli are also in the race for the young star.
“Inter, AC Milan and Napoli are interested. El-Shaarawy is a very interesting player, he is young but he is ready to make a big impact in the Serie A,” his agent Roberto La Florio was quoted as saying on Italian radio.
“The player's future is in the hands of Genoa's chief Preziosi, however, the good relationship that Genoa has with both clubs is well known.
“As for Stephan, he still has a lot to prove and I think he'll spend next term at Genoa to assert himself in the Serie A too. Then we'll see,” he concluded.
El-Shaarawy has represented Italy at youth level and has recently been called up for the country's under-21 team.
Egypt's Olympic team coach, Hani Ramzy, tried repeatedly to convince El-Shaarawy to play for Egypt, but the young footballer wishes to represent the Azzurri.
