Egypt's Salah warmly received by Roma fans ahead of imminent move
Published in Ahram Online on 29 - 07 - 2015

Egypt's Mohamed Salah was warmly greeted by AS Roma's fans upon his arrival in the Italian capital on Wednesday to complete a move to the Serie A runners up despite a legal wrangle with Fiorentina.
Videos circulated on social media showed Roma's fans chanting Salah's name at the airport. Many supporters took photos with the 23-year-old, who reports suggest will pen a deal with the Giallorossi in the coming few days.
According to Italian reports, Fiorentina are still insisting they own the Chelsea player's rights despite Salah's agent assertion that his client is not bound to stay in Florence.
Salah excelled during a six-month loan spell at Fiorentina last season, scoring nine goals in 26 appearances in all competitions as the team finished fourth in the Serie A and reached the Europa League semi-final.
His fine displays prompted the Viola to take up the option of making his loan-deal permanent but he refused to remain with them.
