Zamalek's loss will help Ahly players in coming games, coach believes
Ahly coach praises the performance of his players after their 3-1 win over Wadi Degla in the Egyptian Premier League, hints to make use of their foes' loss

After beating Wadi Degla 3-1 in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday, Ahly coach Fathi Mabrouk expressed pleasure in his players' performance throughout the game as they managed to close the gap with arch-rivals Zamalek in the title race.
Zamalek were handed a surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of Maqassa, while Ahly beat Wadi Degla to narrow the gap with their arch-rivals to six points in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
"I am happy with the game's result as well as the players' performance during the game," Mabrouk said after the game.
"We are working to win all the remaining games in the league so I don't care about Zamalek's loss," he added.
In a match that witnessed a couple of highly debatable spot kicks, Zamalek's loss to Maqassa may be critical.
"I don't care about Zamalek's loss as I always play to win but I will make use of this loss to affect the players during the coming games," Mabrouk continued.
The Egyptian Premier League title holders Ahly are second on the leadership table with 71 points, six behind rivals and leaders Zamalek.
The 64-year-old tactician confirmed that he will stay with the team and that he doesn't pay attention to rumours about management's plans to offload him to sign a foreign coach for the coming season.
"No one in the management told me that I will leave. I respect the team and the management as I am one of the club's sons and I am ready to help the team anytime," Mabrouk concluded.
