In a televised speech following the deadly attack on Bardo museum in the Tunisian capital, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi vowed to combat terrorism. Essebsi asked Tunisians to comprehend that their country is facing a war against terrorism. "We must fight terrorists with no mercy until our last breath" Essebsi said in his televised speech. Gunmen opened fire Wednesday at Bardo museum in Tunisia's capital, killing at least 22 people, including 20 foreign tourists, in one of the worst attacks in this struggling North African democracy that depends heavily on tourism, AP reported. About 50 people were wounded in the attack, which began after noon local time, according to Tunisian state television. The Tunisian President also mourned those who died as a result of the "massive tragedy" and thanked leaders who have supported Tunisia during the attack, namely Egyptian President Abdel-Fatah El Sisi, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, as well as French President Francois Hollande. Sky news Arabia TV reported that thousands of Tunisians have marched the streets of Habib Bourgeiba in order to condemn the attack.
