Egypt's Sisi heads to Saudi Arabia to pay respects to new king
El-Sisi was unable to attend Abdullah's funeral on Friday because of bad weather in Switzerland

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi will travel to Saudi Arabia on Saturday to offer his condolences to King Salman, following the death of King Abdullah on Friday.
El-Sisi, who will be heading to Saudi from Switzerland, will meet with Salman and his brother, Crown Prince Moqren, according to a statement from the president's office.
The meeting will also emphasise the relationship between the two countries and ways to strengthen it in the coming period, the statement added.
El-Sisi was unable to attend Abdullah's funeral on Friday, citing bad weather conditions in Davos, where he was attending the World Economic Forum.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab however did attend the funeral, accompanied by a high-level Egyptian delegation.
El-Sisi has declared a week-long period of mourning in Egypt to honour the late king.
Abdullah was one of El-Sisi's closestregional allies, offering him vocal support when he came to power following the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi in 2013, and providing Cairo with cash aid and petroleum products.
