Egyptian defender Rami Rabia could make his first appearance with Sporting Lisbon when they face third-tier Vizela in the Portuguese Cup on Wednesday. The 21-year-old has missed the early stages of the season after undergoing a stomach injury and has been struggling for fitness since, making some appearances with Sporting's B team. He is line to make his first competitive appearance after being included in the squad for the Vizela game in the Portuguese Cup last 16. Rabia joined Sporting from Egyptian champions Ahly on a six-year deal for €750,000 in the summer. Sporting, who were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League, will face Germany's Wolfsburg in the Europa League round of 32.
