Violence broke out all of a sudden at noon in the Coptic sit-in in Maspero as military forces try to contain the situation. Hundreds hurled stones and other missiles at each other outside the State Radio and Television building in the mass brawl. Copts staged the sit-in in Maspero to protest against sectarian violence in the wake of deadly attacks on two churches in Imbaba Saturday.
