Ghana claimed a 3-1 win at home to Togo while Guinea defeated Uganda 2-0 as both sides booked their places in next year's African Cup of Nations finals in Equatorial Guinea. The Black Stars scored twice in the space of three minutes to go 2-0 up against Togo, with Abdul Majeed Waris breaking the deadlock on 25 minutes before midfielder Wakaso Mubarak doubled their advantage. Floyd Ayite pulled one back for Togo three minutes after the interval but Ghana's Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu sealed their win with a 69th-minute goal. In Guinea, Ibrahima Traore put the hosts ahead midway through the first half and Seydouba Soumah converted a penalty one minute past the hour mark to ensure the win. All four sides had a chance to reach the Nations Cup before the last round of the qualifiers. Ghana finished on top of Group E with 11 points, one ahead of second-placed Guinea. Uganda lost any hopes of finishing as the best third-placed side as they only garnered seven points.
